Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about HypeVault

General

What is HypeVault?
HypeVault is a platform that lets streamers create digital collectible cards their viewers can purchase, collect, and redeem during live streams. When a card is redeemed, it triggers a real-time interaction on the stream.
Is HypeVault free to use?
Yes! There are no monthly fees or upfront costs. We use a revenue-sharing model where we only take a small percentage when you make a sale. If you don't earn, you don't pay. See our pricing page for details.
Which streaming platforms are supported?
HypeVault currently supports Twitch and YouTube. You can connect one or both platforms to your account. We plan to add support for additional platforms in the future.
Do I need to be a streamer to use HypeVault?
No! Viewers can create an account to browse streamers, follow their favorites, purchase card packs, build collections, send HypeCoins, and redeem cards during live streams. You don't need your own stream to enjoy HypeVault.
What's the difference between following and subscribing?
Following is completely free and lets you keep track of streamers you like, access the Crafting Workshop for their cards, and see them on your Following page. Subscribing ($4.99/mo) is a paid tier that unlocks extra perks like exclusive emotes, bonus cards, subscriber-only features like GIF/emote rain, and directly supports the streamer financially.
How is HypeVault different from Streamloots?
HypeVault builds on the collectible card concept with a modern tech stack, lower platform fees (80-90% revenue share), built-in marathon/subathon tools, and a card crafting system. We focus on giving streamers more control and better monetization options.

For Streamers

How do I create my first card collection?
From your streamer dashboard, go to Collections and click "Create Collection." Name it, set a pack price, and then add cards with artwork, rarities, and redemption actions. Publish the collection to make it available to viewers.
Can I set my own prices for card packs?
Yes! You have full control over pack pricing. You can set different prices for different collections and adjust them at any time. We recommend starting with a price point that works for your audience.
How do I set up OBS alerts?
Add a Browser Source in OBS and paste your unique overlay URL from Dashboard > Settings. Set the resolution to 1920x1080. That's it! Card redemptions will automatically appear on your stream. Visit the Help Center for a detailed guide.
What is the Partner program?
The Partner program is for established streamers with 15+ unique supporters per month. Partners receive a reduced platform fee (10% instead of 20%), a partner badge, priority support, and early access to new features.
Can I run marathons or subathons with HypeVault?
Yes! HypeVault has built-in marathon tools that let you create countdown timers with time extensions triggered by card purchases, subscriptions, and donations. Set up goals, milestones, and display a live timer overlay on your stream.
How do giveaways work?
From your dashboard, go to Giveaways and create one by selecting a collection and choosing how many packs to give away. You'll get a unique shareable link you can post in chat, social media, or anywhere. Each viewer can claim the giveaway once, and you can set an optional expiry date. You can also set packs per claim if you want each person to receive multiple packs.
What are jumpscare cards?
Jumpscare cards are a special card type that displays a full-screen image with a sound effect on the streamer's OBS overlay when redeemed. You can enable them from your streamer settings. Viewers purchase jumpscare packs from your profile page. They're a fun and interactive way to surprise the streamer during a live broadcast.
What are HypeCoins?
HypeCoins let viewers send direct monetary support to streamers. Visit a streamer's profile and click "Send HypeCoins" to choose a coin amount and include an optional message. It works like a donation — the streamer receives the revenue minus the standard platform fee.

For Viewers

How do I buy card packs?
Browse or search for a streamer, visit their page, and click on a collection to see available packs. Click "Buy Pack" and complete the purchase with your credit or debit card through our secure Stripe checkout.
How do I redeem a card during a stream?
Go to the streamer's page while they're live and open your card inventory. Click "Redeem" on any card you own. The card's action will trigger on the stream in real-time. Note: the streamer must be live for redemptions to work.
What is card crafting?
The Crafting Workshop lets you destroy duplicate or unwanted cards to earn resources, then spend those resources to craft specific cards you want. Each card rarity gives different resource amounts when destroyed (Common: 10, Rare: 25, Epic: 50, Legendary: 100, Mythic: 200). You must be following a streamer to craft their cards.
Why can't I craft a card? It says "Follow to craft"
You need to follow a streamer before you can craft their cards. Visit the streamer's profile page and click the "Follow" button, then return to the Crafting Workshop. The card will be unlocked for crafting once you're following them.
Can I collect cards from multiple streamers?
Absolutely! You can follow, buy packs from, and collect cards from as many streamers as you like. Your inventory keeps all your cards organized by streamer and collection, and you can manage who you follow from the Following page.
How do I send HypeCoins to a streamer?
Visit the streamer's profile page and click the "Send HypeCoins" button. Choose the amount of coins you'd like to send, add an optional message, and complete the payment. The streamer will be notified and receive the funds minus the platform fee.
How do I claim a giveaway?
When a streamer shares a giveaway link, simply click it while logged in to claim your free packs. Each viewer can only claim a giveaway once. Make sure you're logged in before clicking — if not, you'll be redirected to log in first.

Payments

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe integration. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.
When do streamers get paid?
Streamers can request a payout anytime their balance exceeds $20. Payouts are processed through Stripe and typically arrive in your bank account within 2-7 business days depending on your location.
Can I get a refund on card purchases?
Since card packs are digital goods with randomized contents, we generally cannot offer refunds once a pack has been opened. If you experience a technical issue with a purchase, please contact support and we'll work with you to resolve it.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. Streamers pay a flat revenue share (20% standard, 10% partner) which includes all payment processing. Viewers pay only the listed pack price with no additional charges.

Technical

Which browsers are supported?
HypeVault works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the OBS browser source overlay, we recommend using OBS Studio 28 or newer for the best compatibility.
Why aren't my alerts showing in OBS?
Check these common fixes: 1) Verify the overlay URL is correct, 2) Refresh the browser source in OBS, 3) Make sure your stream is detected as live, 4) Check that your browser source dimensions are set to 1920x1080. Visit the troubleshooting section of our Help Center for more solutions.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We never store your full card numbers on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use HypeVault on mobile?
HypeVault is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. Viewers can browse, purchase packs, and redeem cards from their phone or tablet. Streamer dashboard features work best on desktop for the full management experience.
